John C. Kava, Associate
John C. Kava joined Shifman & Carlson, P.C. in 2007. Mr. Kava has gained experience in the representation of public bodies as general counsel, note counsel, and in various areas of litigation, including representation before the United Stated Office for Civil Rights, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, the Michigan Tenure Commission, and the Michigan Employment Relations Commission.
Mr. Kava earned his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law, where he was an award-winning member of moot court. His degree included an International Law Certificate through Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Mr. Kava received his undergraduate degree from Saginaw Valley State University.
