Shifman & Carlson, P.C. is qualified and experienced in municipal and school finance. We are nationally-recognized bond counsel, and have acted as note counsel on numerous borrowings by cities, school districts, and public school academies. These borrowing have included unlimited tax general obligation bonds, qualified school bonds, revenue bonds, and cash flow borrowings, including state school aid anticipation notes. We have worked successfully with the Michigan Finance Authority and its predecessors and the Michigan Department of Treasury, and can assist with required filings with the MSRB's Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA) system and with the Michigan Department of Treasury's Municipal Finance Qualifying Statement.
